Role Overview
The National Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking a Signals Intelligence Analyst to join their team located in Alice Springs, Australia. This position demands strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills to interpret signals intelligence effectively. The analyst will be responsible for understanding collection methods, platform capabilities, processing signal data flows, and applying analytic methodologies.
Work Schedule
The role involves working 12-hour rotating shifts that cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays, following an operations shift plan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze digital domain signals to identify their structure, parameters, content, and intended purpose.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and external parties to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of signals processing.
- Develop situational awareness products tailored to mission goals in response to Intelligence Community needs.
- Utilize sophisticated software tools to support multi-INT environment tasks safeguarding national resources.
- Distribute data in standardized community formats to designated customers within specified timeframes.
- Create processing models and scripts to document technical signal characteristics.
- Detect unusual or novel signal activities related to events and report these to relevant community entities when necessary.
- Operate efficiently amid dynamic conditions, adapting to shifting priorities.
- Ensure consistent and reliable mission application in complex operational settings.
- Identify and resolve technical problems effectively.
Additional Information
- Candidates and their eligible dependents must complete basic medical and remote psychological evaluations prior to approval for employment.
- Applicants must meet requirements for an applicable host nation visa.
- Enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program is required.
- This is a two-year assignment with potential for extension based on performance and conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 4–8 years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
- Active, current TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one signals intelligence discipline with solid knowledge of signal characteristics.
- Experience supporting satellite missions in real-time or near-real-time operational environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of working cooperatively and productively with site leadership and team members.
- Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multiple signals intelligence collection methods or technical roles at customer premises.
- Familiarity with specialized intelligence community signals tasking, collection, exploitation, analysis, and mapping tools.
- Understanding of mission-specific customer needs and intelligence oversight policies.
- Previous experience working at a customer location within Australia.
