About the Role
Channon Agency is seeking a talented and efficient Short-Form Video Editor to produce captivating and dynamic short videos tailored for Meta platforms (Facebook/Instagram Reels) and TikTok. The ideal candidate will craft content that captures viewers' attention within the opening seconds, maintains high watch times, and aligns with each platform's unique trends and pacing.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit engaging short-form videos optimized for Meta and TikTok advertisements.
- Incorporate trending hooks, captions, and motion graphics to elevate viewer interaction.
- Produce clean and energetic edits with pacing designed for maximum scroll-stopping impact.
- Adapt videos to mobile-first vertical formats (9:16 aspect ratio).
- Cut, polish, and finalize content for both organic posts and paid campaigns.
- Work closely with content managers and social media coordinators to ensure alignment with the brand's tone and visual identity.
- Maintain well-organized project files within Google Drive.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience editing short-form social media videos on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
- Proficiency with Capcut video editing software.
- Strong understanding of impactful cuts, trending video formats, and rhythms that resonate with digital audiences.
- Ability to deliver rapid edits without compromising quality.
- Expertise in timing text overlays, memes, and music synchronization.
- Excellent English comprehension to interpret and execute creative briefs accurately.
- Experience with vertical ad editing tailored for Meta Ads or user-generated content style videos.
- Familiarity with viral video formats, current social media trends, and viewer retention strategies.
- Creative storytelling skills and refined transition techniques.
- Knowledge of AI editing tools that enhance workflow efficiency.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The role is based on-site in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
