Responsibilities

• Support HOPE International’s mission and vision through the work of the role.
• Own the data systems used for savings group programming.
• Develop, configure, deploy, and maintain digital data collection tools such as CommCare, KOBO Collect, or similar platforms.
• Handle system updates, form versions, access controls, and user permissions.
• Resolve system and data problems and act as the first point of contact for program teams needing support.
• Create and keep clear records of system setup, workflows, and changes.
• Help roll out new systems, stabilize them after launch, and improve them over time.
• Support onboarding and training for staff and partners.
• Provide patient, practical help to users working in low-connectivity and last-mile settings.
• Offer ongoing retraining and user support as tools and workflows change.
• Track data completeness, consistency, and overall quality across platforms.
• Assist with data cleaning and background validation.
• Work with Performance Analysis and LM&E teams on data flow and management processes.
• Support audit, compliance, and donor reporting needs when required.

Requirements

• A personal confession of Christian faith and alignment with HOPE International’s mission and vision.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus at least 3 years of professional experience in data systems, international development, or business.
• Strong technical and data literacy, including the ability to manage, interpret, and structure program data.
• Hands-on experience with digital data collection platforms such as CommCare, KOBO, ODK, or similar tools, including form and workflow setup.
• Ability to design and adapt data collection tools and related processes to fit program needs.
• Capability to diagnose technical issues and support users effectively in operational settings.
• Experience training, onboarding, and supporting users with different levels of technical comfort.
• Strong documentation skills for recording architecture, workflows, and system changes.
• Ability to translate program and operational needs into data system solutions.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for modeling, analysis, and reporting; Power BI is an advantage.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality and system integrity.
• Basic familiarity with data modeling and querying; SQL concepts or XPath knowledge preferred.
• Prior exposure to system rollouts, implementations, or technology transitions is preferred.
• Substantial experience collaborating across cultures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Fluency in spoken and written English; additional languages such as French are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 75 nights per year to countries where HOPE operates.
