About the Role
The Senior Strategy Specialist is responsible for crafting, refining, and overseeing strategic initiatives across Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Abunayyan Holding Company (AHC). This role also involves delivering training to various SBUs and performing detailed performance analyses related to strategy implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate both internal and external environments utilizing analytical frameworks such as SWOT and PESTEL.
- Examine financial outcomes to inform the strategy development process.
- Coordinate market research with SBUs to pinpoint opportunities for growth, gauge market potential, and provide strategic guidance to leadership.
- Work closely with executives to set strategic goals for SBUs and create actionable plans, initiatives, and KPIs for monitoring.
- Generate periodic market intelligence reports to bolster SBU growth strategies.
- Perform benchmarking at the SBU level to compare competitor performances with those of AHC and SBUs.
- Establish and maintain a strategic risk register covering risks that could impact corporate strategy, along with mitigation tactics.
- Contribute to designing Go-To-Market strategies for new lines of business, SBUs, and products.
- Manage governance related to strategy formulation and planning.
- Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, and promptly reporting any discrepancies.
- Offer strategic counsel and insights to SBUs to support decision-making.
- Communicate findings and proposals clearly to assist leadership decisions.
- Encourage a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Distribute industry best practices and emerging trends among team members to strengthen strategy execution.
- Prepare monthly reports on strategy execution progress across SBUs.
- Govern the strategy execution workflow and advance continuous improvements to bridge gaps.
- Develop KPIs and metrics to assess strategy efficacy.
- Identify improvement areas and suggest data-driven optimizations to enhance performance and growth.
- Create organizational dashboards reflecting impact and efficiency, and compile monthly reports.
- Support root cause analyses for deviations in strategy deployment and suggest corrective actions.
- Assist in setting and evaluating performance for AHC-SBU presidents and function heads aligned with corporate strategic objectives.
- Manage governance for corporate performance management and foster a culture of continuous enhancement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in strategic planning, execution, or monitoring.
- Proficiency in strategy formulation, execution, and monitoring methodologies.
- Pragmatic and solution-focused approach.
- Effective communication and management capabilities.
- Proactive attitude and teamwork orientation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluent in English with strong reporting and writing skills.
- Expertise in implementing corporate strategy and performance management frameworks.
- Proficient in MS Power BI.
