Senior Site Reliability Engineer Lead

About the Role

HCLTech is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer Lead to strengthen the reliability, scalability, and day-to-day stability of production systems. This position blends software engineering, automation, and technical operations to support safe releases and dependable service performance.

What You’ll Do

• Use software engineering and automation practices to solve operational challenges and keep live systems stable while enabling new feature delivery.
• Monitor, investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across multiple technology products in line with established policies and procedures.
• Work closely with observability platforms to build insights, improve visibility, and support production health.
• Apply strong DevOps practices across infrastructure automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery workflows.
• Write, review, and update code and scripts as needed for operational tooling and automation tasks.
• Develop maintainable, modular infrastructure-as-code solutions and automation that reduce repetitive manual work.
• Support incident handling, issue resolution, and root-cause-oriented troubleshooting in production environments.
• Contribute to source control practices and collaborate effectively within an engineering team.
• Administer and improve Kubernetes clusters in a live production setting.

Skills and Experience Needed

• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Splunk, including advanced querying, dashboard creation, and scripting.
• Practical exposure to observability tooling.
• Working knowledge of GCP-related service requirements and relevant certifications.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, especially Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Jenkins.
• Ability to read, modify, and create code in Python, Groovy, BASH, and PowerShell.
• Solid grasp of cloud security, networking, and APIs.
• Well-developed troubleshooting, logical reasoning, and problem-solving ability.
• Experience using source control in collaborative engineering environments.
• Production experience with Kubernetes administration.
• Experience building automation that reduces toil and repetitive operations work.
