Senior Project Manager - Road Stabilisation

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in road stabilisation to join our Waikato team in New Zealand. This role requires leading the successful delivery of stabilisation projects both regionally and nationwide, managing multiple work crews and programmes simultaneously. You will be instrumental in ensuring quality outcomes, nurturing and guiding your team, and fostering strong partnerships with clients.

Key Duties

• Direct and oversee all phases of stabilising projects, from initial planning to final completion.
• Manage multiple concurrent operations, guaranteeing consistent delivery of high-quality results.
• Control programme timelines, costs, quality assurance, and risk management across your project portfolio.
• Lead, mentor, and provide strategic direction to Project Managers and site teams.
• Handle contract management, pricing strategies, and overall commercial performance, including spearheading negotiations when necessary.
• Develop and maintain robust relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Promote and uphold a strong health and safety culture focused on incident prevention.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated successful delivery of road stabilisation projects within civil construction.
• Experience managing multiple stabilisation crews or operations concurrently.
• Sound commercial acumen, capable of pricing projects exceeding $10 million.
• Committed and proactive approach to health and safety, with a strong belief in preventing all incidents.
• Proven leadership skills, including team mentorship and development.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ambition to advance professionally within the organisation.
