About the Role
Queensland Government invites applications for the position of Senior Program Officer in a temporary full-time capacity through to 27 June 2027. This role focuses on advancing new social and affordable housing initiatives throughout Queensland by collaborating closely with community housing providers and other key stakeholders. The position emphasizes developing innovative solutions and managing projects that increase housing availability and improve outcomes for individuals seeking stable homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Housing Partnerships office to ensure housing products and services align with community-specific needs.
- Utilize advanced project management techniques, including adopting Agile methodologies, to support the team's capital works program.
- Perform detailed business analysis and reporting, addressing urgent project data requests within the department.
- Engage with policy and funding matters related to the National Regulatory Scheme for Community Housing.
- Help implement efficient business processes and customer service practices for managing innovative housing proposals submitted by individuals and organizations.
- Support strategic and operational management of capital projects delivered internally or by third parties.
- Promote and maintain workplace health and safety compliance as an integral aspect of daily operations.
Requirements and Preferred Expertise
No formal qualifications are mandatory. However, extensive practical understanding of the National Regulatory Scheme for Community Housing and familiarity with the 2017-2027 Queensland Housing Strategy are highly valued.
