Senior PMO Manager - Engineering

Role Purpose

As the Senior PMO Manager within Engineering, you will serve as the pivotal coordinator connecting Engineering, Project Management, and Finance departments. You will lead project governance, optimize tools and processes, and enhance transparency and data quality across a diverse engineering team of roughly 200 staff worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Function as the core PMO lead in Engineering by managing project coordination, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, scheduling, and workload balancing within an international context.
• Maintain clear governance and visibility on engineering projects, tracking adherence to quality standards, budget limits, and deadlines.
• Enhance data integrity, manage reporting mechanisms, and oversee system integrations, while advancing analytics and dashboard solutions leveraging Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and allied technologies.
• Lead the deployment and refinement of engineering software and workflows, including Teamcenter, Polarion, Microsoft Project, among others.
• Act as the principal liaison between Engineering, Systems, Project Management, Finance, and Leadership teams to ensure stakeholder alignment and effective communication.
• Coordinate cross-site collaboration globally within Engineering and oversee a dedicated PMO team based in China.
• Assist with budgeting, financial monitoring, and drive continuous process improvements within the engineering division.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, IT, Project Management, or a cognate discipline.
• Proven senior-level expertise in PMO functions and project management within engineering sectors.
• Experienced in project governance, resource allocation, budgeting processes, and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with tools including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, MS Project, Teamcenter, Polarion, or similar systems.
• Exceptional planning capabilities, hands-on coordination, proactive communication, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Fluency in English and German mandatory; knowledge of French or Italian advantageous.
• Preparedness for international travel commitments.
