Security Officer Access Control

Role Summary

This full-time Access Control Security Officer position is based in LaGrange, Georgia, at a busy logistics and distribution site. The role centers on managing entry points, checking visitors and vehicles, and supporting day-to-day site operations. You will also make regular patrols, stay visible to discourage security incidents, and provide strong customer service and communication in a workplace that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Work Schedule

The assigned shift runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Key Duties

• Support visitors, drivers, and employees by following access control procedures, site rules, and emergency-response practices when needed at a logistics and distribution location.
• Check entry and exit points, confirm credentials, handle access for visitors and vendors, and escalate suspicious or unauthorized activity to site leadership in line with security procedures.
• Handle alarms, incidents, and urgent situations calmly and with a solutions-focused approach, while recording observations and actions in the required reports.
• Carry out scheduled and random patrols across the property, including gates, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Help prevent unauthorized entry, keep traffic moving smoothly at access points, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and transportation personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
• Employment is conditional on passing a background check in line with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal histories will be reviewed in a way that complies with the law.
• A drug screening is required to the extent allowed by law.
• Any licensing requirements depend on state and/or local rules and may need to be completed before hire.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary only for positions that involve driving.
