Role Overview

We are looking for a dependable and meticulous Room Attendant - Self Checker to be part of our housekeeping team. This position involves cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas to impeccable hotel standards, ensuring top-level cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation consistently throughout the hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, storage spaces, and other designated hotel areas according to prescribed cleanliness standards.
• Make beds, change linen and towels, replenish guest supplies, and prepare rooms ready for incoming guests.
• Carry out quality control inspections on cleaned rooms, confirming they meet Accor brand standards before release for occupancy.
• Complete scheduled deep-cleaning tasks alongside routine housekeeping duties.
• Promptly report maintenance concerns, damages, and safety hazards using official hotel protocols.
• Use, clean, and maintain housekeeping equipment and chemical supplies safely and in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Manage guest laundry and lost property in alignment with hotel procedures.
• Organize housekeeping storage areas and assist in monitoring and controlling inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
• Update room statuses accurately using the hotel’s property management system.
• Ensure security of guest rooms, keys, and hotel property at all times.
• Deliver courteous, professional, and effective customer service when interacting with guests.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Experience in hotel or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication abilities and a cooperative approach to teamwork.
• Positive attitude combined with strong dependability and work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Physical capability to perform the tasks required, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions.
• Availability to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

• Guaranteed minimum hours of 30 hours per week in a full-time role.
• Hourly wage of NZD 29.10 per hour.
• Shift work from Monday through Sunday on a rotating schedule, covering weekends and public holidays.
