About The Role
This position is a mobile retail security officer role requiring flexibility to cover multiple supermarket locations across Mansfield, Victoria. Shift schedules will vary depending on site needs and will include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Candidates must hold an SIA Licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence to prevent theft, anti-social behaviour, and other store disturbances.
- Perform routine patrols on shop floors, entrances, and around store perimeters across multiple locations.
- Monitor CCTV footage to detect suspicious behaviour in real time.
- Promptly respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies ensuring safety and security.
- Conduct searches according to company policies and legal standards.
- Collaborate with store management and local teams to mitigate risks and aid in loss prevention efforts.
- Prepare clear and timely incident documentation.
- Provide a professional, approachable customer service experience and assist with queries as needed.
- Manage conflict and de-escalate challenging situations calmly and securely.
- Follow all health & safety, legal, and client-specific procedures rigorously.
- Travel between different sites to support broader security operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Right to work in the UK with ability to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858 background checks.
- Possession of a valid SIA Licence for Door Supervision or Security Guarding with relevant experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Experience in retail security or customer-facing roles is desirable.
- Strong observation skills and sound decision-making capability.
- Confidence in handling confrontations and difficult situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Reliable, proactive and professional attitude to work.
- Flexibility to work across various locations and diverse shifts.
