Restaurant Utility Worker - Full-Time

About the Role and Company

As the team grows, Zaxbys is looking to welcome new Restaurant Utility Workers dedicated to maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness, upkeep, and basic equipment care.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all company-required training programs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-kept restaurant environment
• Execute both scheduled and unscheduled daily cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Conduct regular cleaning and perform preventative maintenance on all restaurant equipment
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment to identify malfunctions and perform minor repairs such as lighting fixes
• Perform deep cleaning and pressure washing both inside and outside the building
• Review equipment manuals and work orders to understand maintenance tasks
• Regularly inspect the premises, including plumbing, electrical fixtures, kitchen equipment, and building infrastructure to prevent issues
• Maintain clear and accurate records of maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with all company guidelines, policies, and safety procedures
• Report any HR or risk management issues promptly to management
• Support all functions needed to keep restaurant operations running smoothly

Job Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Reliable transportation is essential
• Full-time availability requiring 32 to 40 working hours per week including flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities with strong teamwork skills

Physical and Capability Expectations

• Ability to continuously sit, stand, and walk during shifts
• Occasional stooping, bending, crouching, climbing (including ladder use)
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, including overhead lifts
• Effective use of hands and wrists for grasping and precise manipulation
• Proficient communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing
• Sound audio-visual perception to monitor environment and equipment
• Comfort working in environments exposed to varying temperatures, food, and outdoor allergens
• Safe handling and operation of restaurant equipment including knives and fryers
