Zaxbys is looking for a Restaurant Utility Worker to help keep the restaurant in clean, safe, and working order. This role supports the everyday upkeep of the building and equipment through routine cleaning, deeper cleaning tasks, and preventive maintenance.

Key duties

Complete all training assigned by Zax LLC
Help maintain a safe, tidy, and well-kept restaurant environment
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled cleaning and basic maintenance tasks
Perform routine cleaning and preventive care on restaurant equipment
Check, operate, and test equipment to identify problems
Handle minor lighting repairs and related upkeep
Deep clean the restaurant and pressure wash areas inside and outside the site
Read and understand equipment manuals and work instructions
Inspect grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures, outlets, kitchen equipment, and the building for preventive maintenance needs
Complete basic repairs when needed
Follow safety procedures, operating instructions, and applicable laws and manuals
Keep maintenance logs accurate, neat, and up to date
Follow all Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC policies, procedures, and operational standards
Work in a safe manner at all times
Stay flexible and be willing to take on work beyond the basic job outline when needed
Report HR and risk-related concerns to the General Manager and District Manager right away
Escalate additional issues to a supervisor when needed
Support any other task required to keep restaurant operations running smoothly

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old
Reliable transportation is required
Available to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Should bring leadership ability, organization, and a cooperative approach to teamwork

Working hours

Full-time availability is stated as 32 to 40 hours per week. The posting also notes that part-time availability is 9 to 28 hours per week.

Physical and work environment requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
May need to stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including using ladders
Frequently required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
Regular hand and wrist use is needed for grasping and precise movement
Must communicate clearly through speaking, reading, and writing
Should be able to perceive and respond effectively to visual and audio cues in the work environment
Will work both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to hot and cold conditions and food-related outdoor allergens
Must be able to use restaurant equipment safely, including knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous tools or machines
