Role Overview
The Research Assistant / Research Analyst will support a variety of research projects by gathering, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data. This position aims to produce actionable insights that underpin strategic planning, business decision-making, and organizational goals through rigorous research and analytical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and collect data from diverse sources including industry reports, academic literature, financial statements, surveys, databases, public documents, and internal resources.
- Ensure data integrity by validating, organizing, and managing research information for completeness and consistency.
- Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses to detect trends, opportunities, risks, and essential insights aligned with research goals.
- Prepare detailed research reports, literature reviews, executive summaries, presentations, dashboards, and associated analytical materials to communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams including researchers, business units, and leadership to shape research objectives, methodologies, and project delivery.
- Contribute to survey design, data collection, competitor evaluations, market research, benchmarking, and performance measurement as needed.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, market changes, economic shifts, regulatory updates, and new technologies to maintain research relevance and accuracy.
- Support ongoing enhancements in research methodologies, reporting standards, and data management processes to improve efficiency and output quality.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates solid knowledge of research methods, statistical analysis, data collection frameworks, business analysis, and information management principles.
- Experienced in structuring research projects and translating complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights.
- Proficient with spreadsheet software, data analysis platforms, presentation tools, reporting software, and business intelligence applications; familiarity with statistical packages, survey tools, database systems, and visualization software is advantageous.
- Exhibits strong analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and critical evaluation skills, capable of identifying trends, verifying results, and producing evidence-based recommendations.
- Well-versed in literature review methodologies, survey formulation, market and competitor analyses, benchmarking, forecasting, data validation, and best practices in research documentation.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, sufficient to produce high-quality research documentation tailored for diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, attentive to detail, intellectually curious, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple research assignments while delivering accurate results within deadlines in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
