About the Role

As a Relief Dispenser, you will operate across multiple stores within a designated area, playing a vital role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the secure and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. This position is critical in providing personalized patient care by sharing healthcare knowledge to support informed health and wellness decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescriptions, ensuring the safe supply of medicines including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members in the store to assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
  • Offer care and counsel patients on medicines, referring complex queries to the Pharmacist as necessary.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to maintain safety and legality in dispensing.
  • Stay informed about new in-store innovations and comply with operational protocols.
  • Support patients in managing their prescriptions effectively to encourage adherence and minimize medicine waste.
  • Coordinate with store teams to maintain continuity of patient care.
  • Engage with evolving in-store technologies aimed at improving dispensing processes and enhancing patient safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel flexibly across assigned geographical locations.
  • Must have current and valid UK right to work; this role does not provide sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas.
  • Previous community pharmacy experience is advantageous.
