Our mission is to advance the mining sector to become a major pillar of Saudi Arabia's economy by developing a globally competitive and fully integrated mining value chain.
Role Overview
We invite applicants for the position of Reliability Engineer at our Aluminum Recycling Plant located in Ras Al Khair, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, onsite role offers an 8-hour workday and focuses on establishing and leading the reliability and asset management framework for a newly commissioned greenfield facility. The engineer will be instrumental in devising maintenance systems and strategies to maximize equipment uptime and minimize life-cycle expenses from the facility's launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance management system and reliability strategy encompassing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS/EAM) architecture, equipment listings, and maintenance data structures suited for the recycling plant.
- Conduct equipment criticality analyses and prioritize risks across all recycling machinery.
- Formulate preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, including maintenance task libraries and detailed job plans.
- Establish spare parts management strategies, including critical spares philosophies, inventory thresholds, and contingency stock arrangements.
- Define and monitor reliability performance indicators such as equipment availability, mean time between failure (MTBF), and mean time to repair (MTTR), alongside reporting mechanisms.
- Lead root cause failure analyses (RCFA) concerning persistent and significant faults, implementing corrective measures.
- Utilize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and other analytical approaches to enhance equipment dependability.
- Support the commissioning phase and early operations by ensuring robust reliability inputs and maintenance strategies are established at asset turnover.
- Track equipment performance and downtime data, directing initiatives to improve asset reliability and inform lifecycle cost assessments and replacement decisions.
- Promote a culture of reliability through educating maintenance and operations personnel in best practices.
- Ensure all strategies adhere rigorously to environmental health and safety standards, particularly concerning molten metal, combustion, and delacquering processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering fields.
- Certification in reliability engineering such as CMRP or CRE is preferred.
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in maintenance and reliability roles within aluminum production, casthouses, primary metals, or comparable heavy process industries.
- Proven background in creating and executing maintenance frameworks and reliability plans, ideally for greenfield projects or during commissioning stages.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency with CMMS/EAM platforms like SAP PM or Maximo.
- Expertise in criticality assessments, RCM, FMEA, RCFA, and developing PM/PdM programs and spare parts strategies.
- Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil quality testing.
Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate will be analytical, methodical, goal-driven, and an effective communicator capable of independently creating systems, leading change initiatives, and mentoring teams in reliability practices.
Work Schedule and Location
This position is based onsite at the Ras Al Khair facility operating standard 8-hour shifts.
Job Posting Validity
The vacancy is available between July 16, 2026, and July 30, 2026.
