About the Role

We are seeking a commercially aware and analytically capable Relationship Associate to join our Institutional & Business Banking team, based in Wellington. This permanent full-time position is tailored for individuals who enjoy in-depth customer analysis, excel at problem-solving, and are motivated to enhance customer success and portfolio performance.

As a key member of the Corporate Banking Relationship Associates team, you will support Relationship Managers by delivering meticulous credit analysis, financial insights, and expert portfolio management. Your contributions will significantly impact customer outcomes, the lending portfolio's health, and uphold rigorous risk and compliance standards.

Your responsibilities include developing comprehensive knowledge of customers, industries, and market conditions to maintain strong relationships and provide well-evaluated credit solutions. You will safeguard the bank's reputation through diligent assessments, sound judgement, and prompt credit submissions.

Additionally, you will prepare precise and thorough credit submissions and actively manage portfolio risk by monitoring triggers, covenants, conducting periodic risk reviews, and ensuring continuous risk oversight within policy guidelines and timelines.
