Position Overview

The Regional Account Manager is tasked with crafting and executing the customer strategy to boost Flowers Foods’ revenue, market share, distribution, and profitability across assigned accounts. The role demands strong retail account management skills to foster relationships, influence key decision-makers, and enhance the company's brand presence within key retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion a customer-focused environment aimed at exceeding expectations and needs.
• Build and sustain relationships with multiple tiers of retailer personnel, contributing effectively to local business strategies.
• Collaborate with Business Unit/Brand and Marketing teams to align account strategies with consumer trends and preferences.
• Develop sales plans jointly with the VP of Regional Accounts to meet sales and margin targets, managing trade promotion funds carefully.
• Coordinate internally to ensure flawless product distribution and operational communication.
• Consistently meet or surpass established sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Participate in forming the Annual Operating Plan to align business goals and resources.
• Maintain open communication lines with leadership and cross-functional teams to support corporate objectives.
• Lead and educate the regional sales team, providing tools and environment for high achievement.
• Coach and develop a high-performing sales leadership team, fostering a strong regional culture.
• Ensure adherence to company policies on equal opportunity, harassment prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Perform additional duties including rigorous adherence to attendance and operational policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least four years of retail account management experience specifically in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales.
• Proven success in collaborative teamwork and sales leadership roles.
• Demonstrated management experience equivalent to the expectations of this position.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including overnight stays as needed.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Finance is required.
• A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
