Role Overview
This is a 12-month contract position for a recruiter based in Toronto, working in a hybrid setup with four days onsite. The role focuses on high-volume, end-to-end recruitment for retail hiring within a corporate setting. You will work closely with hiring managers, support pipeline development, and help deliver a smooth hiring process from intake through onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the entire recruitment cycle from requisition intake to offer completion.
- Run intake discussions with hiring managers to clarify hiring needs and timelines.
- Identify, source, and evaluate candidates for fast-moving, high-volume roles.
- Arrange and coordinate first-round and final interviews.
- Assist with recruitment events and talent attraction campaigns.
- Handle offer steps, background verification, and onboarding handoff support.
- Keep candidate pipelines organized and recruitment records up to date.
- Prepare recruitment reports and metrics for stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and hiring managers.
- Help maintain a positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
- Contribute to special recruiting projects and pipeline-building efforts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in recruitment.
- Background in high-volume hiring.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
- Well-developed planning, coordination, and time-management skills.
- Hands-on experience with recruitment reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Prior experience in corporate or enterprise recruitment is preferred.
- Agency recruiting experience is an advantage.
- Experience recruiting for banking or other large-scale organizations is preferred.
