About the Company

Our client is a prominent real estate investment firm managing assets exceeding $30 billion. They are currently seeking an Associate to join their Real Estate Investments team focusing on acquisitions within alternative asset categories.

Role Overview

The chosen candidate will be accountable for underwriting real estate investments across various alternative asset classes such as data centers, life sciences facilities, and marinas. Operating within a compact investment team, the Associate will handle responsibilities throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support underwriting and due diligence processes for new commercial real estate investment opportunities spanning the capital stack.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and asset valuation tools that guide investment decisions.
• Project operating performance and financial forecasts, along with creating business plan scenarios tailored to deal underwriting.
• Contribute to the compilation of initial screening documents and final investment memos intended for presentation to the Investment Committee.
• Help prepare asset-level investment recommendations directed at senior management.
• Draft strategic plans for assigned assets and participate in shaping broader portfolio strategies.

Candidate Qualifications

• Between 1 and 4 years of professional experience in real estate acquisitions or investment banking.
• Extensive expertise in financial modeling methodologies.
• Proficient with advanced Excel functionalities including formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables, and conditional formatting.
• Strong quantitative aptitude complemented by analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently.
