About the Role
This full-time, on-site position is located at our Campbell, California office and involves occasional travel. Imperative Care is dedicated to transforming stroke treatment technology, prioritizing patient outcomes through innovative medical device development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the initial phases of designing and developing endovascular-interventional medical devices, contributing to brainstorming, conceptualization, and prototype creation under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Develop detailed product specifications, build prototypes, and conduct testing on new or enhanced products.
- Support experimental studies, testing procedures, and protocol executions per project plans.
- Contribute to the design process aiming for cost-effective and timely product innovations with awareness of manufacturing considerations.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation such as drawings, engineering and testing reports in compliance with quality system standards.
- Work closely with technicians during device testing, prototype assembly, and ensure accurate documentation of technical activities.
- Participate in Design Verification testing and assist in design validation initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with less than two years of professional experience, or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) and CAD programs like SolidWorks or ProE.
- Preferably knowledgeable about fabrication tools such as mills, lathes, drill presses, and 3D printing equipment.
- Experience with product design from concept through regulatory approval is advantageous.
- Understanding of regulated quality systems including GMPs, ISO 9001, and Medical Device Directives.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $96,000, reflective of the Bay Area market and adjusted based on location and candidate qualifications. Benefits include stock options, bonuses, a 401(k) plan, health insurance, generous paid time off, and parental leave.
