About the Company
Alef Group develops premium lifestyle communities, destinations, and experiences through strategic investments and joint ventures. The company is looking for a meticulous, highly experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in post-contract work, ideally gained within a real estate developer setting, to join its team in Sharjah.
Role Purpose
This position is responsible for overseeing post-contract commercial activities across Alef Group’s real estate portfolio. The role ensures that consultancy and construction contracts, facilities management agreements, and interdepartmental works-related purchase orders are managed within approved budgets and in line with the organization’s strategic priorities, while supporting quality, efficiency, and long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle post-contract commercial management across multiple real estate projects, covering construction, consultancy, facilities management contracts, and interdepartmental works purchase orders.
- Keep all contractual and financial activities within approved budget limits and aligned with company objectives.
- Process and oversee payments for construction, consultancy, FM contracts, and interdepartmental works, and assess variations, claims, and contract changes in accordance with contract terms, letters of award, and purchase order conditions.
- Maintain detailed reporting on payments, variations, accruals, committed costs, approved budgets, certified values, and actual spend to support financial control, governance, and management reporting.
- Work with employer site representatives, consultants, cost consultants, and contractors to review and certify interim and final payment submissions.
- Examine and provide feedback on project insurance policies, performance bonds, advance payment guarantees, and related contractual securities to confirm compliance with contract requirements.
- Assist with contract closeout activities, including final account preparation and reconciliation of contractual commitments.
- Help improve post-contract processes, templates, and reporting tools to strengthen efficiency and compliance.
Education and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc QS) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Quantity Surveying is required.
- Progress toward the RICS or AIQS APC pathway is preferred, or the candidate should be able to clearly demonstrate active advancement in the pathway.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of total experience in post-contract management is required.
- At least 3 years of this experience should come from consultancy or developer environments in the UAE or GCC.
Required Skills
- Strong command of post-contract commercial management and lifecycle cost control.
- Ability to coordinate and manage several projects at the same time.
- Good English communication skills.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and UAE construction laws and practices.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

This role is based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. It is a full-time, onsite position.
