Role Overview
As a Public Area Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring all public spaces in the hotel, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and elevators, are clean, safe, and welcoming. Your role involves routine cleaning tasks, supply management, guest assistance, reporting maintenance needs, and helping prepare event spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and present all public areas to high cleanliness and safety standards
- Carry out regular duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene
- Monitor and replenish supplies like toiletries, towels, and sanitizers in restrooms and other public zones
- Respond efficiently to guest requests for cleaning assistance or support, delivering excellent customer service with a professional demeanor
- Report maintenance or safety issues and equipment requirements to supervisors promptly
- Assist in event and special occasion setups to ensure public areas are guest-ready
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is advantageous but not mandatory; full training will be given
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to maintaining immaculate and inviting public spaces
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities to interact courteously with guests and colleagues
- Capability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time effectively to complete tasks
- Physical ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies as required
- A proactive approach to safety and adherence to all health and safety protocols
