About the Role
This contract-based Project Planner position allows remote work with occasional office visits to Berlin or Dresden. The role requires a professional with extensive project planning expertise, ideally related to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or similar sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project schedules within the authorized planning software, following established instructions.
- Apply and uphold standard planning frameworks, including calendars and coding schemes.
- Conduct regular schedule updates, perform data validations, and manage version control.
- Generate standard reporting extracts for internal distribution and review.
- Assist in integrating schedule inputs from diverse internal departments and workstreams.
- Develop summary schedules and forward-looking views to aid coordination meetings.
- Identify missing data or discrepancies and communicate them to the planning lead.
- Gather progress data as per defined guidelines and input into the system accordingly.
- Support the creation of planning key performance indicators (KPIs), trend analyses, and schedule performance reviews.
- Help prepare recurring planning reports and visual dashboards.
- Facilitate review and integration of contractor schedules by supporting the validation and consolidation procedures.
- Provide comparison analyses and schedule summaries for coordination and evaluation sessions.
- Assist in clarifying schedule-related queries via the planning lead.
- Document updates related to scope modifications or delays.
- Maintain logs and registers connected to planning activities as directed.
- Supply accurate scheduling data to assist internal assessments, reviews, and risk mitigation discussions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable practical knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 for project planning and schedule upkeep.
- Between 5 and 8 years of work experience in project planning or scheduling roles, preferably within industrial, infrastructure, or EPC fields.
- Strong grasp of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)-based planning principles, schedule logic formulation, and progress measurement methodologies.
