Project Manager

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee tourism and hospitality development projects from initial conception through to project completion and handover. The role entails ensuring the timely delivery of projects while adhering to budget, quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties

• Lead projects involving resorts, hotels, entertainment venues, visitor centers, cultural sites, and leisure facilities.
• Formulate comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and risk assessments.
• Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders including consultants, architects, contractors, operators, and government bodies.
• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle: concept design, feasibility, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Track project progression, financials, quality assurance, and contractual commitments.
• Ensure the project meets tourism sector standards and delivers superior visitor experiences.
• Critically evaluate design submissions, tender documents, contracts, and contractor proposals.
• Identify and mitigate risks including delays and cost overruns through appropriate corrective measures.
• Oversee scope management and assess variation orders and change requests.
• Conduct routine site inspections and coordinate progress meetings.
• Ensure alignment with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Work closely with tourism and hotel operators to incorporate operational needs into the project design.
• Secure all required permits and approvals from Saudi regulatory agencies.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, financial summaries, and performance dashboards for senior leadership.
• Manage project closeout activities such as snagging, final inspections, documentation compilation, and handover to operational teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Tourism Development, or related disciplines.
• Between five to eight years of project management experience.
• Three to five years specialized in tourism, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, or destination development projects.
• Proven skills in project planning and team leadership.
• Strong capability in budget management and cost control.
• Expertise in contracts, procurement processes, and risk management.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and consultant management skills.
