Production Assistant

About the Company and Role

Goldstar Corporation is dedicated to producing high-quality chocolate products that delight customers. We are seeking a devoted and meticulous Production Assistant to bolster our production efforts at our Koforidua facility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, manufacture, and packaging of chocolate items adhering to defined recipes and procedures to ensure consistent quality.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout production to verify adherence to rigorous standards and communicate any faults to supervisors.
• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and maintain machinery cleanliness to uphold hygiene protocols.
• Assist with managing raw material inventory, including receiving, storage, and organizing supplies.
• Collaborate actively with the production team to meet scheduled goals and report any operational challenges to leadership.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of both processes and product quality, offering insights and feedback.
• Follow all safety guidelines and food safety regulations to maintain a safe, clean working environment.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• Prior exposure to food manufacturing or production environments is advantageous, but eagerness to learn is essential.
• Basic familiarity with food production machinery; ability to safely handle equipment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in monitoring product quality.
• Physical capacity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks in a dynamic setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Koforidua, Eastern Region, Ghana.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in chocolate or confectionery manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
• Elementary inventory management experience.
