Production Assistant & Runner

Role Overview

We seek a dependable and motivated Production Runner to join the Smashi Sports production crew. This role entails travelling to various sports venues including pitches, clubs, and grounds to set up camera equipment, initiate and monitor live streaming, and resolve any technical issues promptly to guarantee seamless broadcast coverage.

The position requires responsibility for the assigned equipment, ensuring proper handling, maintenance and care. You will also be tasked with the upkeep of the company vehicle provided and offering assistance to production team members as needed. This is a field-focused role with no laptop requirement; employees will receive a company-branded vehicle, mobile phone, and sports-themed uniform.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid UAE driving license with a clean record is mandatory.
• Prior professional driving experience is required.
• Experience in event support, media production, sports event operations or related fields is advantageous but not essential.
• Physical fitness essential for handling and moving production equipment.
• Working days: Wednesday to Sunday; Wed-Thur 9am-6pm, Fri-Sun 2pm-11pm.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and effective in teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely for transport of production personnel, gear and materials.
• Ensure that vehicles remain clean, functional, and serviced per company standards.
• Load, unload and carry production equipment to event sites.
• Assist with basic setting up and dismantling of production components like poles, signage, and barriers.
• Support live event operations with field and logistical tasks.
• Adhere to production timelines and travel among venues as required.
• Maintain a professional demeanor representing Smashi Sports while on location and during stakeholder interactions.
• Follow all road safety and company regulatory policies strictly.
