Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Product Designer specializing in decorative lighting to join our Bangalore team. This role focuses on conceiving, developing, and executing innovative lighting designs that blend aesthetics with practical manufacturing considerations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop unique decorative lighting products from initial idea to final production.
• Produce comprehensive 2D drawings, detailed 3D models, photorealistic renders, and clear production documents.
• Choose appropriate materials, finishes, and components aligned with design goals, functionality, and ease of manufacturing.
• Collaborate with fabricators, suppliers, and production teams to ensure precise execution of designs.
• Create prototypes and troubleshoot any design or manufacturing challenges throughout development.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams—design, engineering, production—to meet project deadlines.
• Research emerging materials, lighting trends, and manufacturing techniques to foster innovation.
• Ensure that all products comply with quality, safety, and performance criteria.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Lighting Design, Furniture Design, or a related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in product design, ideally within the decorative lighting sector.
• Sound knowledge of lighting design principles, materials, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience coordinating with fabricators and production teams.
• Proficient in design and rendering software including Rhino, KeyShot, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong skills in visualization, detailing, and photorealistic rendering.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Able to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Bangalore and available to join immediately.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience developing bespoke or custom lighting products.
• Familiarity with decorative lighting materials such as glass, metal, wood, acrylic, and stone.
• Basic understanding of LED integration, electrical components, and lighting safety standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for innovative design solutions.
