About the Role
This role is for a Procurement Operations Specialist based in Bengaluru, India, focused on APAC procurement within Accenture's Procurement Plus organization. The primary focus is on Travel & Mobility alongside Meetings & Events categories, involving end-to-end sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management to deliver cost-efficient and quality solutions for both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and sourcing strategies.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluation based on cost, quality, reliability, and sustainability factors.
- Manage RFx processes including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and supplier selection recommendations.
- Lead contract drafting and negotiations in partnership with legal teams ensuring clear terms, performance metrics, and compliance.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and making necessary updates aligned with local laws and company policies.
- Monitor supplier performance continuously and address risks throughout the supply chain.
- Maintain thorough documentation and proper storage of contracts and approval records.
- Align global procurement strategies with local business needs and contribute to development of global procurement tools and processes where applicable.
- Build and nurture strategic supplier relationships to enhance collaboration and value delivery.
- Analyze procurement data alongside market trends to inform sourcing decisions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree focused on business, economics, procurement, or equivalent professional education.
- 7 to 11 years of professional experience in procurement and sourcing, ideally in the Meetings & Events category.
- Strong expertise in procurement methodologies, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Deep understanding of procurement processes, market specifics, regulatory compliance, and trends in Meetings & Events industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work independently with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
- Skilled in thriving within multicultural environments and dealing with various organizational levels.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Strong strategic thinking, ethical judgment, and decision-making rooted in data and market analysis.
Key Interactions
Collaborate closely with Global and Market Category Leads, Local Business Stakeholders, MU Procurement Leads, local sourcing and accounts payable teams, Legal & Risk Management, and Process & Compliance teams.
