Procurement Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous Procurement Specialist for a contract position based in San Francisco, CA, offering a hybrid work model with two days onsite weekly. The contract extends through December 2026 with potential extensions. This role is integral to advancing our strategic sourcing efforts, managing vendor performance, and driving operational excellence in procurement activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support sourcing processes such as vendor research, managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluating suppliers, and managing contract-oriented assignments.
• Administer supplier compliance programs, sustainability initiatives, and audit-related activities, monitoring and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
• Perform supplier risk evaluations and due diligence to meet procurement and compliance requirements.
• Create and update vendor performance scorecards, generate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, perform spend analyses, and deliver executive-level presentations to facilitate data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate across departments to refine processes, enhance operational efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Analyze procurement data to detect cost-saving opportunities and provide insightful recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Support supplier onboarding processes, manage vendor master data, and coordinate with internal partners to ensure seamless operations.
• Develop ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytic tools to bolster procurement strategies and meet business objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or project management roles.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities capable of handling large datasets and complex formulas.
• Experience in preparing reports and dashboards using Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.
• Strong analytical abilities focused on trend identification and effective communication of insights.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred.
