Process Technician

About the role

Dyson Singapore is hiring a Process Technician to support automated production lines at its Advanced Manufacturing site in Pioneer, Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Track line performance indicators such as yield and quality checks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep operations stable.
• Carry out initial fault-finding and investigate root causes when rejection rates rise or non-conformance issues occur on the line.
• Assist engineers with day-to-day production troubleshooting and continuous improvement work.
• Execute engineering builds and trials in line with the prescribed process.
• Carry out basic defect inspection and process checks as instructed.
• Capture process observations and related data accurately and promptly.
• Suggest and support straightforward process enhancements that improve quality and efficiency.
• Train operators on the job using approved work instructions.
• Adhere to safety requirements and keep the work area clean, orderly, and compliant with 5S practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in an automated production environment.
• ITC or Diploma in Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Must be available for shift work and overtime when needed.
• Ability to clearly distinguish coloured wires, signals, indicators, and labels is essential for safe performance.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing machines and equipment is required.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exposure to data analysis software such as JMP or Minitab is an added advantage.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or production is preferred.
• Must be responsible, detail-focused, disciplined, and able to follow procedures consistently.
• Should work well in a team, operate independently when needed, and contribute ideas for improvement.
