Role Overview
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is seeking a Principal Technical Officer based in Katherine, Northern Territory, to lead and manage cropping systems research trials and demonstration projects. This role aims to spearhead innovative research, development, and extension initiatives in partnership with staff, industry collaborators, other state departments, and external funding agencies.
Responsibilities
- Design, initiate and oversee cropping systems research trials and demonstration sites.
- Develop and implement innovative research, development, and extension methods collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Engage effectively with research institutes, industry stakeholders, and state agricultural departments to deliver contemporary agricultural solutions.
