Pre-Site Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pre-Site Technician to join our established team at the Leek Depot in Staffordshire. This permanent position involves crucial preparatory site inspections to ensure that work orders are executed correctly, enabling frontline teams to complete jobs accurately on their first attempt.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare planning to secure the correct materials, work orders, and traffic management set-up, including conducting pre-work site inspections and arranging advance signage if necessary.
• Confirm that all tasks can be performed safely, adhering to current safety legislation as well as environmental and noise regulations.
• Verify that traffic management layouts meet safety standards.
• Ensure required risk assessments and method statements are available for upcoming work and confirm accuracy of public utility information and prepare associated permits.
• Collaborate with operational controllers, data controllers, and supervisors to optimize work efficiency and effectiveness.

Work Schedule

The role requires a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of CITB Site Safety Management certification or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid full UK driving license.
• CSCS card holder.
• Strong organizational and proactive work habits.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
