Role Overview

We are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our Credits team in Mexico. This role will lead the strategy for managing and optimizing the existing credit portfolio, balancing profitable growth with the institution's risk appetite. Responsibilities include maximizing customer lifecycle value through detailed analytics of portfolio harvests, implementing dynamic pricing strategies, and effectively managing the decision engine to ensure sustained risk-adjusted profitability and model stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze payment behavior of various borrower cohorts through vintage analysis to detect early trends in delinquency.
• Define and update portfolio maintenance strategies, such as credit line increases and preventive risk reduction actions.
• Continuously assess segment profitability to ensure financial margins adequately cover risk costs and operational expenses.
• Develop dynamic pricing approaches, adjusting interest rates and product conditions based on updated client risk profiles.
• Collaborate with Data Science teams to maintain and validate the performance and stability of behavioral scoring and early collection predictive models.
• Design retention strategies targeting low-risk clients with underutilized credit lines, implementing consumption incentives and loyalty campaigns.
• Partner with Collections department to establish decision trees and tailor collection intensity according to debtor profiles.
• Oversee administration and proper functioning of the decision engine.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in credit or credit risk management, ideally within financial entities, fintechs, or digital banks.
• A degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields is required.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and consumer credit portfolios.
• Able to perform both quantitative and qualitative analyses of credit risk, portfolio origination, and recovery.
• Familiarity with applicable credit regulations such as CNBV, Banxico, and Transparency Law.
• Proficient in data analysis tools including advanced Excel, SQL, and Python.
