Role Overview
The Porter position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at TA travel centers. As part of the store team, you will ensure facilities meet company sanitation standards, providing an enjoyable experience for customers and helping keep travelers safe on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility as assigned, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Uphold safety and security protocols, promptly reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Properly use personal protective equipment and cleaning materials.
- Understand the cleaning supplies required for each task and apply them effectively.
- Perform additional related duties as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Strong teamwork skills and enthusiasm for contributing to a positive work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with cleaning tools and supplies.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Frequent talking and hearing required; occasional standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing.
- Occasional lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Must have close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception, able to adjust focus.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions year-round and indoor exposure to fumes, mechanical parts, noise, dirt, dust, grease, gas, and strong cleaning chemicals.

- Hourly pay ranging from $13.25 to $16.00 depending on experience and job responsibilities.
