Overview
This permanent full-time position, classified as Health Manager Level 1, is based in Goulburn or Queanbeyan within the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD). The role offers an annual remuneration between $91,326 and $121,497, with a workweek of 38 hours. The application deadline is 13 August 2026, with interviews conducted within ten days after closing.
Role Summary
The Policy Support Officer will manage administrative and procedural functions related to the SNSWLHD position document library. This includes offering guidance and training on the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain consistency across the district for effective policy governance. Additional responsibilities include providing secretarial, administrative, and data reporting support to facilitate Clinical Governance unit operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the SNSWLHD policy and position document archives.
- Provide advice and training on policy, procedure, and guideline development across the Local Health District.
- Support administrative and data reporting tasks for the Clinical Governance unit to ensure smooth operational flow.
Requirements
- Proven advanced clerical and administrative skills, focusing on document development and record management.
- Strong computer literacy with expertise in data collection, record keeping, and familiarity with various health software and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Design. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with healthcare professionals at all levels, showcasing a commitment to effective customer service and teamwork.
- Advanced written and oral communication proficiency, including report and brief preparation.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Ability to apply NSW Ministry of Health policies and knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards in policy document management.
- Understanding of electronic design technologies and digital printing for preparing materials both for digital and print distribution.
- Must hold a valid unrestricted driver’s license with the willingness and capacity to travel as required by the role, including potentially long distances and overnight stays.
