Platform Screen Doors (PSD) Supervisor

Role Overview

The Platform Screen Doors (PSD) Supervisor supports the PSD Manager by prioritizing workloads according to operational and safety priorities to meet business requirements. They assist maintenance teams in diagnosing complex issues and ensure asset maintenance complies with quality standards, while fostering asset safety, reliability, and compliance through independent problem-solving guided by seasoned colleagues. This role involves strict adherence to metro standards, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining safety and quality throughout the asset's lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise asset maintenance, planning, and execution of predictive and condition-based maintenance for PSD systems.
• Ensure maintenance and repair are carried out per schedule and manuals while upholding quality standards.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and continuous development of team members.
• Support technical leadership in conducting Root Cause Analysis and incident reporting for faults and failures.
• Contribute to the creation, review, and approval of maintenance documentation and design drawings.
• Oversee complex maintenance tasks performed by in-house teams or subcontractors.
• Promote team safety by enforcing safety protocols, proper tooling usage, and delivering safety/quality briefings.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to best maintenance practices via CMMS log reviews.
• Evaluate change management processes to prevent operational disruptions.
• Act as deputy for PSD Manager or Head of Transit Systems and assist with assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of Technical Diploma is required; Engineering degree preferred.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of relevant system experience in rail, aviation, or transportation sectors.
• A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience.
• Proven expertise in Bill of Materials creation, procurement processes, competitive tendering, and providing technical clarifications.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Skilled in building relationships and influencing stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Capability of providing informed input to senior management teams.
• Proficient in failure prediction and lifecycle extension strategies for assets.

Additional Information

The role is based in Al Nada District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and entails working on-site in a full-time capacity with Capital Metro Company (CAMCO). The position demands effective coordination among multidisciplinary teams and compliance with rigorous safety and quality procedures.
