Plant Engineer - Civil Utilities

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Operations team at Ather Energy manages plant infrastructure, civil utilities, and operational engineering across manufacturing facilities. This position as Plant Engineer - Civil Utilities based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, involves leading civil and structural design, MEP integration, budgeting, and project delivery for both new and existing setups. Reporting to the Head of Industrial Engineering and Plant Engineering, the candidate will oversee core aspects of manufacturing plant development.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate and manage capital and operational expenditure budgets, financial evaluations, and detailed cost projections for new and expansion projects.
• Conduct civil and structural design calculations, create plans, layouts, and specifications utilizing engineering codes, standards, and software.
• Coordinate the integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) systems with civil and structural components from design to implementation phases.
• Prepare and analyze structural and civil drawings for contractor engagement and oversee project execution for new requirements.
• Implement and plan Green Building initiatives for current and future factory environments.
• Ensure mandatory regulatory compliance by obtaining and renewing all necessary statutory approvals and permits.
• Lead and enhance team performance by defining KPIs, providing expert technical guidance, and advancing skill development.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8 to 12 years of professional experience in structural/civil design and project management.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in civil and structural design calculations, layout creation, and analysis adhering to engineering standards and using relevant software tools.
• Experience integrating MEP systems within industrial civil and structural frameworks.
• Capability to manage comprehensive greenfield plant projects including planning, monitoring, and structural setup.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance processes and regulatory approvals related to civil and utility infrastructure projects.

Additional Information
