Role Summary
The Placement Officer plays a vital role in overseeing and facilitating the entire placement process for students. This includes organizing placement drives, maintaining industry relationships, supporting students through training and counseling, and ensuring successful employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage campus and off-campus recruitment drives effectively.
- Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive database of student placements.
- Ensure students fulfill all registration, training, and placement prerequisites timely.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with employers across different sectors.
- Arrange company visits, industry guest sessions, and employer engagement activities.
- Provide pre-placement support such as resume workshops, interview coaching, and soft skills development.
- Guide students on career options, current market trends, and industry demands.
- Monitor placement status closely and mentor students to reduce dropout rates before joining.
- Generate regular placement reports for management and maintain documentation for compliance and promotional use.
- Organize job fairs, career workshops, and promote placement successes through various communication channels.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 0 to 2 years experience in placement coordination, recruitment, or human resource functions preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational capability with effective time management.
- Adept at building and sustaining professional relationships with employers and students alike.
- Proficiency in MS Office and placement management or learning management systems.
