About the Role
Our Great Lake Physio branch located in Taupo is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our busy musculoskeletal and sports medicine practice. You will conduct timely assessments and devise treatment plans for a diverse range of clients, including those under various ACC contracts such as Vocational Rehabilitation, Training for Independence, concussion management, and pain relief. Our clinic benefits from proximity to Taupo's largest modern gym, which serves as the primary facility for exercise rehabilitation programs.
We maintain strong ties with local sports organizations and take pride in providing physiotherapy services to the provincial rugby union team, King Country, alongside coverage for numerous sports tournaments held in the Taupo region annually. This position is ideal for healthcare professionals passionate about physiotherapy who also value a high quality of life amidst scenic lakefront surroundings, biking trails, and picturesque walking routes, all while engaging in meaningful and impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and treat acute injuries encompassing various conditions.
- Design and implement rehabilitation programs within the clinic and community settings.
- Collaborate effectively with allied health team members to ensure integrated care.
- Prepare detailed patient reports articulating client capabilities, goals, and recommended interventions consistent with best practices.
- Manage scheduling and client appointments using diary management software.

Candidate Profile
- Current registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board and active Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- At least two years of relevant physiotherapy experience preferred; however, newly graduated professionals are encouraged to apply.
- Possession of a full New Zealand driver's license to support community rehabilitation activities.
- Strong communication skills to engage with diverse clients daily.
