LENS is working toward a future with fewer road accidents by identifying hazards early enough to stop incidents before they occur. Its technology analyzes live CCTV streams from highways to spot dangerous situations in real time.

Platform and product

LENS Detect reviews highway CCTV footage to detect potential risks before they turn into accidents. Public safety teams and transportation departments receive alerts through the LENS Detect dashboard for situations such as disabled vehicles, stalled big rigs, and pedestrians on freeways. A dispatcher checks the alert, confirms the detection, and sends an officer to help the person involved, with the goal of preventing an accident or saving a life.

CBS LA has also featured LENS in a three-minute TV segment highlighting how the company supports public safety agencies in one of the world’s largest traffic centers.

Role overview

As a People Operations Partner, you will own the core people-infrastructure that keeps the team running smoothly. The role calls for someone who sees people operations as essential to the mission and who is committed to building reliable systems, careful processes, and a strong employee experience.

What you will do

• Manage the everyday people-operations workflow for the team, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance tracking, employee records, and the systems that connect these processes.
• Serve as the main contact for team members with people-related questions, providing timely, accurate, and discreet support.
• Keep people systems up to date and compliant by maintaining records in Rippling, monitoring requirements such as E-Verify and benefits eligibility, handling multi-state employment nuances, and addressing issues early.
• Help design, document, and improve people processes that can grow with the company, including SOPs, gap analysis, and scalable operating practices.

Experience and skills required

• At least 6 years of experience in HR, people operations, or a related field, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Practical experience with HRIS and payroll platforms; prior exposure to Rippling is strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of HR compliance, including multi-state employment, benefits administration, I-9 and E-Verify, and onboarding/offboarding documentation.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage several priorities at once without losing track of details.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, with the professionalism and discretion needed to work with employees across all levels.
• Bonus consideration for experience supporting recruiting operations and using an ATS, especially Ashby.
