About the Role
Join Cognizant's European Payroll team and take a key role in managing and enhancing payroll processes for Germany. Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external partners to ensure payroll is processed accurately, compliantly, and efficiently within a strictly regulated environment. This position offers responsibility, stability, and the chance to work in an international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly payroll processing for employees in Germany.
- Coordinate with external payroll service providers such as ADP and SAP.
- Validate and reconcile payroll data, including gross-to-net calculations, taxes, and social security contributions.
- Ensure compliance with German laws and regulations related to payroll.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries (e.g., payslips, tax matters).
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to synchronize payroll activities.
- Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and the optimization of payroll processes.
- Drive continuous improvements in payroll procedures from an international perspective.
Candidate Profile
- Several years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within Germany.
- In-depth knowledge of German tax laws and social security regulations.
- Hands-on experience with payroll software such as SAP, ADP, or PeopleSoft.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in German (C1+) and good command of English.
- Methodical, dependable, and attentive to detail in your work.
- A cooperative team player with strong customer service orientation.

Location
