About the Role
IPOS International is looking to hire a meticulous and proactive Paralegal to join their Legal Department. This new position reports directly to the Head of Department and involves supporting legal operations by conducting research, preparing documents, managing contracts, and providing administrative assistance across various legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and judicial precedents.
- Prepare, review, and edit legal documentation, including contracts and official correspondence.
- Manage contract lifecycles by tracking and organizing agreements effectively.
- Assist in compliance processes and regulatory submission requirements.
- Maintain legal records and databases using content management systems or related platforms.
- Coordinate with both internal departments and external legal advisors.
- Monitor critical deadlines to ensure all submissions are timely.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the legal team.
- Support company secretarial functions such as scheduling and organizing board meetings.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to monitor budget expenditures relating to the Legal Department.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related disciplines.
- Preferably at least 4 years of experience in either an in-house legal team or law firm setting.
- Strong skills in legal research and analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, understanding of PDPA compliance, or familiarity with government procurement processes is advantageous.
- Experience with legal technology and contract management software is a plus.
