Job description
About the Role
The Package Manager oversees the complete lifecycle of equipment packages, managing processes from the pre-purchase order phase through to final completion, ensuring alignment with project and contractual obligations.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage coordination with Package Buyers to finalize contracts and purchase orders with vendors.
- Oversee vendors' compliance with contractual terms and key deliverables.
- Facilitate meetings and technical discussions with stakeholders as well as coordinate inspections.
- Work closely with stakeholders to prepare and submit reports, including weekly and monthly procurement updates and maps.
- Collaborate with Package Buyers and Costing Officers to handle vendor claims and variations.
- Track vendor payment schedules and validate achievement of milestones to authorize payments.
- Review and validate vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure inspections and testing are properly arranged and documentation is closed out with all relevant parties.
- Coordinate site visits and inspections with Owner’s Representatives, third-party inspectors, project teams, and vendors, both locally and internationally.
- Manage logistics including delivery, expediting, warehouse handling, and preservation alongside Vendor and Expediting Lead.
- Coordinate preparation of spare parts and commissioning spares with vendors.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities with site teams and vendors.
- Ensure timely submission of final vendor documentation and data books.
- Handle warranty and guarantee issues through close collaboration with Package Buyers and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline.
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Work Location and Hours
Based at Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd., 80 Tuas South Boulevard, Singapore 637051 (Tuas Boulevard Yard), with islandwide transportation provided.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:15 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
