Over-the-Counter Associate

Position Overview

The Over-the-Counter Associate plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by assisting customers effectively, maintaining the assigned department area, and supporting the OTC and Pharmacy managers. This role involves ensuring that the products are well organized, presented properly, and that departmental operations adhere to company standards and legal requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Uphold strict patient confidentiality by complying with privacy legislation.
• Work towards maximizing sales and profitability under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Manage and rotate inventory, ensuring no expired products remain on shelves.
• Maintain zoning for a tidy and organized department layout.
• Follow established procedures for ordering, clearance, price adjustments, and product labeling.
• Ensure the department is free from clutter, unnecessary objects, and spills to maintain a clean environment.
• Achieve zero pricing errors, adhering to quality control programs like the Scanning Credibility Program.
• Perform calibration of equipment involved in prescription filling processes when required.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $16.15 per hour.

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
