Operator II

About the Company and Role

HEINEKEN Beverages is inviting applications for the position of Operator II based at their Supply Chain unit in Springs, Gauteng, South Africa. The role involves full-time onsite work, reporting directly to the Team Leader within the manufacturing sub-function of Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize shifts according to the production schedule and escalate any challenges impeding the plan.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, tanks, production lines, ingredients, and chemicals necessary to meet production demands.
• Perform blending operations strictly following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Carry out autonomous maintenance tasks to keep the plant operational, including readiness for breakdowns.
• Manage quality by completing all source documents accurately to ensure right-first-time output.
• Adhere to Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) protocols: ensure use of sterilized tanks, comply with CIP schedules and tank swabbing, and verify chemical availability for CIP processes.
• Follow Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Module tasks diligently.
• Complete mandatory training requirements on time.
• Achieve targets defined in the Aspiration Plan, including skills matrix and training development.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards as per company policy.
• Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) relevant to each task and process area.
• Report any unsafe behaviors, hazardous conditions, or near misses promptly.
• Handle company products carefully at all times.
• Contribute actively to team productivity and effectiveness.
• Participate in Daily Coordination Stand-up (DCS) meetings to support optimal teamwork and performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least one year of experience in a similar working environment is preferred.
• Minimum educational qualification: matric certificate with preference for mathematics and science subjects.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong team player with an innovative approach.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and analytical skills are essential.
