Position Overview
The Operations Staff plays a vital role in supporting daily logistics operations at Service Centres, Hubs, Processing Units, and Warehouses. Responsibilities include efficient and accurate processing, sorting, scanning, bagging, tagging, loading, and unloading shipments, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also involves data entry, shipment reconciliation, and maintaining operational discipline to uphold the Blue Dart brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, segregate, sort and process inbound and outbound shipments.
- Perform scanning, bagging, tagging, and labeling as per operational guidelines.
- Load and unload shipments safely from vehicles.
- Ensure shipments move timely through operational stages to meet service targets.
- Assist in shipment reconciliation and manifest verification.
- Enter shipment data and update records using approved systems.
- Verify shipment labels, manifests, and operational documents for accuracy.
- Immediately report discrepancies, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain organized and operational work areas.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly when required.
- Maintain professional appearance and wear designated uniform and ID badge.
- Exhibit discipline, punctuality, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Participate in continual learning, safety meetings, and strive for operational improvements.
- Support peak volume operations and additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum education: 10th Standard pass; higher education is advantageous.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years' experience in logistics, warehousing, courier services, manufacturing, or retail operational roles are welcome.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Physically fit for standing, walking, lifting, and handling shipments during shifts.
- Willing to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic proficiency in English to understand instructions, labels, and safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with basic computer skills and handheld scanners or mobile applications.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to collaborate within a team.
