Role Overview

Damen Shipyards Group is hiring a OneStream Operations Specialist to join its OneStream Team within Group Control in the Middle East. The position reports to the FP&A Systems Manager and focuses on keeping the OneStream platform stable, reliable, and continuously improving so it can support financial consolidation, reporting, and planning across the organization.

You will work at the intersection of Finance, IT, and Data & Analytics, helping connect business needs with technical execution. The role is part of an international environment where financial processes, models, KPIs, and reporting are actively monitored and refined to support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will take ownership of operational support, system upkeep, data control, and practical improvements within the OneStream environment.

Act as the first point of contact for users and provide helpdesk support.
Investigate and resolve incidents and user requests.
Track data loads, consolidations, and workflow execution.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Assist with forecasting and budgeting cycles.
Administer user access, roles, and permissions.
Carry out minor configuration changes and metadata updates.
Maintain cubes, dimensions, and mappings within the system.
Assist with releases, upgrades, and testing efforts.
Spot and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
Check data accuracy and perform reconciliations.
Oversee integrations from source systems such as ERP platforms.
Analyze and fix data mismatches and inconsistencies.
Help ensure financial reporting remains dependable and consistent.
Identify recurring operational problems and work on root-cause fixes.
Automate repetitive manual tasks where feasible.
Standardize templates and working methods.
Introduce small improvements based on user feedback.
Train and support users.
Coordinate issue resolution with Finance and IT teams.
Document solutions and operating instructions.
Share best practices across the organization.

Requirements

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
3 to 6 years of strong hands-on experience with OneStream.
Solid understanding of financial consolidation, reporting, and planning processes.
Comfort working across both finance and technology topics.
Experience with data integration and data modeling.
Knowledge of consolidation rules and accounting standards, including IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
An analytical, structured, and practical approach to problem-solving.
Exposure to change management and release management activities.
A proactive, result-oriented, and accurate working style.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with attention to quality.
Professional English communication skills, both written and spoken.
