Officer - Safety & Security (Emiratization)

Role Overview

The position is responsible for managing the efficient functioning of the Safety & Security Unit in line with the department's business goals. The officer supports daily operations and recommends enhancements to the unit to ensure a high-quality service delivered using the most cost-effective methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality standards for services provided by the Safety & Security team.
• Oversee the effective operation of the Safety & Security Central Monitoring Station and Control Room.
• Ensure all safety and security systems and devices across all premises of the organization are functioning properly.
• Guarantee the availability, preparedness, and application of appropriate safety & security mechanisms throughout all locations.
• Confirm that the most recent system backups are accessible.
• Participate in meetings with project teams and vendors to discuss requirements and budget planning.
• Monitor adherence to safety and security standards in all new developments and existing facilities.
• Document and report on activities, project progress, and accomplishments.
• Provide updates and feedback regarding operational activities and project statuses to the Head of Safety & Security.
• Coordinate project implementations by performing site inspections, managing technical communication, and collaborating with service providers.
• Manage the resolution and mitigation of significant security incidents.
• Engage regularly with government authorities such as Police and Civil Defense for liaison purposes.
• Recommend industry best practices to be adopted within the organization.
• Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line manager related to the role.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in safety and security roles.
