About the Role
Our client, a prominent fintech company based in North Sydney, is seeking a seasoned Office Manager to oversee workplace operations and provide a superior office environment for employees, visitors, and stakeholders. This position extends beyond typical administrative duties, entrusting you with the seamless daily functioning of a contemporary corporate office, including leading the front desk operations and supervising one direct report.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Receptionist to ensure a high-quality front-of-house experience.
- Manage daily operations of a dynamic corporate office environment.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and preventive activities with landlords and contractors.
- Oversee facilities management, including meeting rooms, common areas, and office amenities.
- Administer relationships with office suppliers and service providers to maintain excellent service standards.
- Ensure workplace health, safety, security, and compliance procedures are correctly implemented.
- Address and resolve workplace issues promptly to minimize business disruption.
- Identify and implement improvements to workplace processes and enhance overall employee experience.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in an Office Manager, Workplace Coordinator, or Facilities Coordinator role within a commercial office setting.
- Skilled in managing relationships with landlords, contractors, and external vendors.
- Proven leadership skills with experience overseeing front desk or administrative personnel.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with confidence to operate independently.
- Strong administrative capabilities and acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for building relationships across organizational levels.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools.
Additional Information
This position requires primarily onsite presence, with an expectation to work from the North Sydney office at least four days per week. You will report directly to the Business Services Manager and provide occasional support for a secondary office in Newcastle.
